I have lost the few expectations I had. you guys can make of it what you will, play it or not play it. up to you. this is a pass for me personally.

This might sound rude but, I only see this suggestion as: "can you give us free stuff in the expense of some1 else's misery..." kind of suggestion. I am no gameforge fanboy and I'm not gonna defend them on anything however, "show players sympathy"...idk, this looks wrong, but meh... up to them if they'll agree to your suggestion or not.

I just uninstalled the game. Got tired of all the issues and none of the fixes.
A shame you didn't get your problem solved, and I have no idea what causes your launcher to brick.
it could mean anything from firewall/antivirus all the way to registry issue.
Have you tried sending a Support ticket for the issue? with proper images (the one in your OP doesn't really show much other than percentages).
*Edit: It could also be a swift disconnection of your ISP which messes with the updating process and just borks the launcher which causes it to freeze and crash. but I don't know, just throwing possibilities.

Well that settles it then. GF doesn't care and KTera doesn't care.
"Classic" was the topic and "Forwarded" is its conclusion. congrats.
Now, go open your surprise mechanics fellow players. it's the one thing they put any thought into.

Have you tried re-installing the launcher and the game?
Considering you have to update the game regardless, might be worth a shot to do a clean install again.

It was explained to you guys multiple times why a classic server for TERA would not work out well and why it would not make enoguh profit.

People are allowed to open a thread with a relevant subject about the game that includes "classic server" that you hate so much.

Can you share a statement that was made since i can't find where this was said by any of the companies on how a classic iteration will not work aside from other users? clearly there was an official and an absolute NO on the subject.
So until then, Nah. you're not the one who gets to decide what is what, and you're not part of any of the companies managing this game, both gameforge's and bluehole's.

I compared to you played from the beginning and never left till today.
The only thing i see here are some people that have no clue how TERA/companies work and that they don't even play the game, instead they come back to this game and forum after months/years of inactivity and demand a classic server.

By the way we will not hear about any decision fast. First they need to fail this trash Elyon. After that they will looking in panic new source of revenue so maybe they will make some decision about classic Tera.
Just the fact that Elyon uses the Unreal Engine 3 already lights up red lights. Unreal engine 3 is so badly optimised for mmorpg's in my experience. games like Blade and Soul suffers from that engine to this day.

Sweet.Shiro.Neko I mean I don't mind fighting the same dungeons over and over as long as there's variety of them. it's just with future patches they simply started to recycle old mobs and Bams, just look at FoA! almost every single mob and bam in northern arun is a reskin after reskin of mobs from old areas of tera. calling it a new expansion felt like insult. and it just got worse from there. and it is from this patch that they started to remove old features,mechanics, dungeons and more. and started to lock things behind a race or gender and started to erect paywalls (the infamous Masterwork Alkahest farm removal in favour of a lootbox). and i'm not even gonna touch the Lore subject, they barely tried.
anyways I agree with this, it's a whole mess.

2013 to 2014 was actually the most fun I've had, the level 60 content was fun to do, normal mobs had some oomph to them, BAMs were hard and there were many dungeons with various difficulties to do, and relatively active pvp aswell. and I know many don't like levelling (which is fine) but I actually enjoyed this aspect. an (mmo)RPG without Levelling feels awkward to me. without Levelling I lose a sense of progression, same with gear (imagine if there was no gear to work for?). But anyways that era was the most fun for me, I mentioned this many times so i'm not gonna repeat.
early 2014 (avatar weapon introduction and later Reapers mid 2014 and Fate of Arun in late 2014) to 2015 was the turning point for me, it just wasn't fun. the patches felt like a band-aid for whatever reason, and aside from pvp (imo), it wasn't a very good update.
Dungeons were lacking and got smaller and smaller in size with more gimmicky one-shot mechanics for whatever reason and even today it is still getting smaller and even recycled.
the 65 level cap was a glorified number inflation in my opinion. more cluttered screen yay! big numbers good yes?
PvP got much needed updates (although it fell flat from that point onward... see present tera)
and open world content, where all casual gamers looking for some fun was heavily Pruned.
Levelling was ridiculously sped up, Quests became from a learning experience for new players and into a checklist. Island of Dawn "removal" in favour of Stepstone Isle (I won't even sugar coat it. it is Trash) which is a bloody instance infested abomination. In the very First 5 minutes you see new characters on screen, and the moment later "oh sorry we take you to a different reality now lmaoxd". awful introduction to an MMO.
oh and 2014-2015 was also the introduction to.... *roll drums*.... LOOT BOXES! (I won't go too deep with this one. I despised this year)
I can go more but I'll stop here. Anyways level 60 era prior to avatar weapons and gender + race locked class (reaper) is the desired patch for me.

Edit: more accurately after you download the launcher and click on the setup.exe, it should give you an option on where do you want to install it.

And tbh I actually prefer the slower pace compared to the "ZOOM ZOOM PRESS ALL BUTTONS QUICKLY" kind of playstyle. actually makes you plan abilities instead of just "okay, whats off CD?".
Faster doesn't mean better.

Honestly you should expect answers from the actual Developers rather than this publisher. we've pretty much said most of the things that were needed to be said. they just choose not to update/answer.

I had this happen to me once aswell, and there was no solution to it other than Manually Deleting the entirety of Tera's game folder and registry (if you try to initiate the uninstall.exe it will open the launcher and you won't be able to uninstall until the download is complete), and just re-download Tera launcher again and let it download the update again.
As far as I know, there's no easy fix to this.

I don't remember what happens when you log from a different PC but, I am assuming that you will either get an Email to confirm that this is indeed you that is logging in or nothing will happen and you will log in normally.
Someone who actually experienced this should answer you though. preferably Gameforge staff.

At this point I expect Gameforge to announce: "we are giving Tera publishing rights to *Gamigo", but we'll see if there will be an announcement at all, or this subject will just be forgotten (or aka "forwarded").
*If you don't know who Gamigo is, just know that their library of games is basically where all the dead games are at. the last spot to fully milk the game(s) out of existence.
